The White House blocked a follow-up report by the Iraq Study Group, reports surfaced that in November of last year, CIA Director Michael Hayden called the situation in Iraq “irreversible,” new figures revealed that U.S. soldiers have killed or wounded more than four hundred Iraqi civilians at checkpoints or near convoys during the past year, guards at a bank in Baghdad made off with more than a quarter-billion dollars, Iraqi security forces seized 200 explosive belts along the Syrian, and a White House report found that the Iraqi government had shown satisfactory performance so far on 8 of 18 benchmarks set.
