Hamas TV airs anti-Israel kids show despite protest

Hamas’s television station defied the Hamas-led Palestinian government on Friday by airing a show featuring a Mickey Mouse lookalike that urges children to support armed resistance against Israel. During one of the skits, Farfur told young viewers that he aspired to be like the slain spiritual leaders of Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood.

Israel may have violated arms pact, U.S. officials say

UN warns Israel on Lebanon overflights

In Lebanon, UN peacekeepers have reportedly warned Israel they may open fire if Israeli warplanes continue flights over Lebanese airspace. The warning was disclosed by Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz during testimony before the Israeli Knesset this week. Peretz says Israel will ignore the warnings and continue the flights.

Poll: 84% of Lebanese think war premeditated

A Jordanian poll published Thursday indicated that 84 per cent of Lebanese believe that the recent conflict in southern Lebanon was a premeditated attempt by the United States and Israel to impose a new Middle East order.
